Natural hyacinth in a lined, deeper, medium basket.
I’m satisfied with my new woven basket. No disappointments, my basket is as stated. That may sound a given, but in reality it’s really not. It’s a gamble, but JLKIMZVO represented their product admirably: in heading, listing description, dimensions, and photographs.The basket is woven neatly, and securely, without loose ends are large gaps. There is just enough variance to believe this is a handmade product, made with skill. Im not sure what “crushed rustic” means, but this generous size storage basket is indeed natural. Not P.E. “wicker”, the rich russet brown basket is woven in the wicker tradition of natural material. The listing also sites hyacinth as well as wicker. I do believe water hyacinth is a traditional plant used for weaving, as is bamboo, wicker, rattan, willow, paper, and more. It would be helpful for vendors to include precise definitions and origins on products. And even artisans where applicable.I’m very happy with the dimensions, its not so big that it becomes cumbersome, or items get lost… But it’s also not so small its unusable. I can store books in here nicely, and not just mass market paperbacks. Gloves or hats, my vitamins, garden tools, crafting supplies, so many things. Best part is the depth. Taller items can stand and have support and don’t fall out. The addition of a decorative yet functional lining elevates this basket to a worthy decor piece. I think these would be cute in a farm style, shabby chic, cottage, most sorts of kitchens. I’m considering one for bread. Even to organize utilises. It works great in the bathroom as well. Very attractive and versatile. The lining fits well, can pop out to wash or shake out. The design is lovely, with 19th century French graphics. It’s suited to the wicker, with a simple charming fabric that’s substantial enough it will hold up to daily use. Lightweight and without extra structural reinforcement, I wouldn’t plan on moving anything too heavy from place to place. It’s perfect for getting organized on shelves or pantry, since there are no handles, less space is wasted. Even if I think the price may be a little high, you’d be hard pressed to find the same for less. All in all, a well made and decorative, medium size natural basket.
