Takes a lickin’, keeps on tickin’
These things are pretty darn good. I wanted to knock off half a star since they just don’t fit well in my ears (even though there are multiple sizes of silicone tips in the package), but… Last week I accidentally left them in my coat pocket through *both* a wash and dry cycle in laundry – and they still work like a charm! They’re pretty rugged. I’ve dropped them (both in case and out of case) about a dozen times, even on hard surfaces, and they seem none the worse for wear.Not to mention the battery life hasn’t diminished at all since the dreaded laundry day, and was really good in the first place; I regularly get 6 hours before the battery status goes from green to orange, then another 2-3 before going from orange to red, although I usually don’t let it get that far between charges. They don’t take very long to charge either. BLE is pretty great.The audio features are of good quality too (bass boost/EQ, environment pass-through, “phone” mode, etc.), although I sorta wish I didn’t have to get the JBL app to change the settings. (That said, I don’t really know how else I would expect to be able to do that – I suppose I would be asking too much of a set of wireless earbuds that fit in my pocket. I just don’t like the “app for everything” culture in this age of surveillance.)For the record, I’ve had these for about a year, so I’ve had plenty of time to use and abuse them. I’m overall quite happy.

Very good for the price
Overall, these are great ear buds for the price.Pros: The sound and mic quality are excellent, pairing is simple, and battery life so far seems good. The controls are modifiable, but very easy and intuitive. I like how you get a “beep” acknowledgement when you double tap to end a call – my Samsung Galaxy buds didn’t do this, and I was never sure if my tap had registered.Cons: I agree with other reviewers that these are difficult to keep positioned in your ear. They do want to pop out regardless of which size silicone inserts you try, especially if you’re on a phone call and your jaw is moving as you talk. I find I have to keep shoving them back in my ear because they work their way loose. I’ve never had this problem with other brands I’ve used in the past, very odd. Another issue, they can be difficult to fish out of the case. The shape of the ear buds, the depth they are seated in the case, and the fact that the case lid only opens 90 degrees all conspire to make these hard to pull out. I find when a call is coming in and I’m quickly trying to get an earbud out of the case, it can be a little finicky to do so quickly. Final con, the case itself is made of a much lower quality plastic than other brands. It feels a little rougher and thinner than others I have used. A very minor detail, but it does contribute to the overall product experience.All in all, a very good product at a very good price.
