Great light strip
Put these under the cabinets in our kitchen and we love them! Tons of functionality and they get very bright. The only downside I can think of is that they don’t get as dim as we’d like them to sometimes but other than that we love the color options and ability to modify the preset patterns.

Great for hand railing
Replaced older LED strip that failed. Routed a channel in the underside of handrail and use electric that’s on the other side of the drywall. Feels high quality but not super flexible (couldn’t make a 90 degree turn on the underside of the handrail so only did a straight line and cut size to fit. Really like in the app the predefined effects and that you can create your own effects by editing any of the predefined effects.

If you’re considering using Lumia stream with these lights, read this!
I purchased these while on sale during Prime Day this year so I could upgrade my streaming room and give chat something fun to mess around with during my streams. Word of caution, while these lights work amazingly well with the app, and integrating them with Alexa was a breeze, using them with Lumia stream will probably leave you disappointed.Lumia doesn’t allow you to use any of the dynamic lighting affects that the Kasa app will, so no two different colors on the same strip or flowing between all the colors of the rainbow, and they’ll leave the light strip set to whatever color the program last broadcasted to it. It’s something you can work around, yes, but the biggest setback by far is that Lumia can’t turn the lights on and off. And in contacting their support, they’ll tell you that you need to send a message to TP-Link to get Lumia rights to do so.Best thing I can recommend if you’re considering integrating these lights to your stream is plan to have them be a background mood light that you don’t mind being solid. That’s what I’ve ended up doing with these, and I’ve done some IFTTT command writing to let me quickly swap between the Kasa presets I create within the app, but I know not everyone will want to get that nitty-gritty. That said though, these lights are bright and can easily shift a room’s mood – even when I’m not streaming, they make for great mood lighting while working from home, or when I’m hanging with the girlfriend playing Stardew.I highly recommend the lights themselves, but just be mindful that there will be some work on your end if you’d like to use these with Lumia Stream.

Excellent lights … With limitations
I own 5 sets of these light strips, plus multiple KASA smart plugs and 3 KASA light bulbs. I love the KASA products, the app is wonderful to use, and everything is easy to connect. It integrates with my Alexa device for easy voice control and grouping. These lights are pretty versatile. I have two sets under my bed frame, one behind two different TVs, and another behind my dresser. They provide awesome ambient light. The reason I dock a star is the following:- Lack of Hex color or RGB numbering- Inflexible strip and once it’s cut it’s doneWithin the app you only get a color wheel, you can’t type in the RGB numbers to get a specific color. This makes it difficult to get the PRECISE color for each set of lights throughout the house. Even the white light colors seem different, especially between the light bulbs and the light strips.Secondly, the strip is very tight and strong rubber/plastic. It cannot bend around corners. You can force it, as I have around my TVs but it won’t be flush on the surface and eventually the adhesive will fall off, but you can tape it down.Overall, it’s a fantastic product and I will be buying more. It will get 5 stars if they add an easy way to make every single KASA product you have the exact same color when you want them to be.

The Kasa Smart LED Light Strip, Has been a great addition to my home setup.I’m using these under my mantle and inside my bar shelves, and they’ve worked exactly as expected. Installation was easy, and connecting them to the app took just a few minutes. The Kasa app works very well — the lights connect reliably every time and respond quickly to changes.The lighting looks clean and even, and it really adds to the overall look and feel of the spaces. 8 have over 20+ kasa smart items in my home. These are very dangerous! Had strip light in my daughters room, we had painted her entire room prior, the lights were the finishing touch. Immediately smelled very hot soon as we turned them on. My brother in law is a volunteer firefighter so him n the guys came over and we’re quickly able to determine the controller was instantly overheating to the point I couldn’t hold it after 20 sec. We took apart to see if wires had crossed. Didn’t notice anything. We plugged it back in and I touched the circuit board and practically melted my finger print off. Very scary, especially in my young daughters room. Not to mention the paint damage after taking them down. Very disappointed.

The adhesive is just as expected from such strips (Not good) but the upsetting part is that it says it Works with Smartthing and while it does not all functions are carried forward like lighting model and scenes or automation.

Facil de instalar, sus pegamentos son marca 3M por lo que la calidad esta garantizada, se prenden en bloques y todo se controla desde la Aplicacion KASA, genial!!

Resumen: Si no puedes quitar el papel protector utiliza pegamento.Buen producto, cumple con las características pero:este producto tiene adhesivo en la parte posterior con un papel protector (a manera de un sticker). Al yo estar retirándolo, el papel se rompió (ver fotos) y el resto se quedo pegado a la tira LED.Intenté quitar la película con las uñas, pero no funcionó (creo que el adhesivo ya estaba viejo), entonces decidí hacerle una pequeña incisión con una navaja para poder tomarlo con las uñas.Inmediatamente la tira LED se apagó a partir del corte en adelante.”No puede ser!” dije.Dos terceras partes de la tira quedaron inutilizables. ademas los LEDs cerca del corte quedaron permanentemente en azul, no responden a los ajustes.La incisión fue muy pequeña y la hice con mucho cuidado (ver las fotos), el circuito es realmente frágil.Dos estrellas menos porque no hubiera sucedido si el papel estuviera en buen estado, y porque los leds quedaron en azul.
